Digital renderings - Rhino & Vray
Here I used a spotlight instead of Vray Sun. The Vray Sun did not have the diverging light which I was after. The soft edges of the shadow were achieved by using a shadow radius of 60 with 32 subdivisions.
With depth of field on and using an F-number of 15, this shallow depth of field was achieved.
The concrete material uses a mixture of texture maps (highlight, reflection, bump) to create the lightly textured glossy finish.
This rendering was an experiment on creating water caustics. To emphasize the caustics, a setting of 5 was used for the multiplier (Caustics tab).
Vray Sun and Sky was used to create this subtle sunlit room. This rendering was inspired by Coelux's artificial sunlight photographs.
An HDRI image of Barcelona was used to create light and the environment of this rendering. Cutoff maps were used to make the papers look like they had holes cut out of them.
